Introducing the new Vanguard mobile app

Vanguard has never had the best reputation for its mobile app. Usually, when people find out I work there, they’ll say something like, “I love your funds, but your app stinks.” And I get it.

So when our mobile team completely overhauled the app based on tons of user feedback, I knew we had to break out the megaphone, so to speak. After all, it’s not common for app users to have such a direct impact on a large organization like Vanguard.

With inspiration from other companies like Apple and Airbnb, my team and I crafted this video for social media that places the user as the hero of the story. If it weren’t for their feedback, Vanguard would not have launched all of these helpful new features. In the intersection of tech and finance, it’s essential for people to have a sense of efficacy and to know that they can bring about change in the spaces they occupy every day.
